adventures in australia!! woohoo!

So its only been a week, but this is definitely the best vacation i have ever been on. unfortunately there wont be pictures today, cause i'm at an internet cafe and i cant download the photos today. so i will just have to write a few of my adventures.

it is BEAUTIFUL here!!! warm and sunny summer fun. As many of you know, i am travelling with my buddy justin who i've know since i was 12 and met at camp. Day number one was insane cause i got off the plane exhausted and ready for a nap, but NO!!! Justin made sure i stayed awake as long as possible so i wouldn't feel the jet lag as much. So, i'm thinking a chat over lunch.... well, yes, but also we walked a thousand miles around the city of Melbourne- which by the way is gorgeous. After lunch and a few $10 beers (which are just regular beers) i was starting to fade... and asked for some FOB time... after much debate i had a nap and then i was ready to go.

The first couple days involved the 'friends tour" as it would be called and i got to meet all of the amazing folks that justin has been spending time with while he has been living here in Melbourne. More food, more drinks, more friends, more fun!!!! and just as i was getting used to Melbourne- we were off to Sydney!!

so on Monday we jumped on a train from Melbourne to Sydney- 12 hours!! yikes- good thing justin and i had some catching up to do. i think we covered everything that we had been doing for the past 10 years just as the train pulled into the Sydney Central Station. So then we were off to drop our things at the hotel and meet some friends in the city.
Sydney was so fun!!! much different than Melbourne but great in its own special way... for a big city at least. We hooked up with Justin's upstairs neighbors who were also in Sydney that week and cruised the streets. we walked everywhere!!! there is nothing like wandering around the city on a beautiful summer day laughing with friends.... (that one is for you two justin and jess)
we had a small list of sights to see, but kept it low key and just enjoyed the couple days we were there. We saw the bridge, and opera house, the botanical gardens, plenty of pubs and some interesting art.... but i realize that this is quite boring without photos... so i will stop here and say that i will post again when justin helps me find a decent computer. As for tonight, we are off to see a show- Romanian dance troupe.... fabulous!!!

cheers mates!!!
